Drug Abuse TreatmentSafe Harbour Recovery’s Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)

An Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) is for people who are transitioning from our PHP program. The major focus is relapse prevention. At Safe Harbour Recovery, clients participate in a counseling and life skills program that is similar to those offered in our live-in program. Although the goals of an IOP are exactly the same as those for clients who are living at Safe Harbour Recovery, you may live in a sober house, or other transitional housing.  An intensive outpatient program is essential for people stepping down from 24-hour supervised treatment.

What Can I Expect in IOP Treatment?

  • Clinical hours of service occur between 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM, three to five days a week.
  • A therapist will work with you to develop an individual schedule to accommodate your needs.
  • In a safe, nurturing and confidential setting you will meet with your therapist for individual counseling.
  • A variety of small group therapy sessions giving you an opportunity to observe and learn about your own and others interpersonal skills.

“Our objective is to help our clients navigate the road of addiction recover and achieve their sobriety goals.”
